What is Spartan Track Club Hawaii?
Spartan Track Club Hawaii is a youth-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit track and field organization dedicated to developing athletes of all ages and ability levels.
We are a USATF-sanctioned club offering coaching, mentorship, and competition opportunities for sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers, distance runners, and multi-event athletes.

Does my child need experience to join?
No experience is required.
We work with athletes at different levels, including beginners who are learning track and field for the first time. Training is based on the athlete’s age, ability, event group, and long-term development needs.
What is the Summer 2026 fee?
The Summer 2026 fee is $250 per athlete.
This includes:

Summer training

Coaching support
-
Meet operations and support
-
Club support through the summer championship season

Athlete choice of one uniform OR one backpack

When and where are practices?
Summer training is generally held:
Monday through Friday (beginning May 18th)
5:30 PM – 6:45 PM
McKinley High School
There may be specific days assigned for throws, jumps, hurdles, and other specialty events depending on coach availability, facility access, athlete needs, and the competition calendar.
Practice schedules may be adjusted based on facility availability, weather, meet schedule, and championship preparation.
Are meets required?
The summer program is a full track and field season. Athletes should expect weekday practices and Saturday meets when scheduled.
Meets are an important part of athlete development, especially for athletes interested in qualifying for championship meets or the USATF Junior Olympics pathway.
Is USATF membership required?
For general training, USATF membership may not always be required.

However, athletes who plan to compete in USATF Hawaii summer meets must have:

A current USATF membership

Their membership attached to Spartan Track Club Hawaii

Completed USATF age verification
Age verification is required for USATF competition and is usually completed one time once the athlete’s documents are approved.
What events does Spartan Track Club Hawaii train?
Training may include:
Sprints and Hurdles
100m, 200m, 400m, short hurdles, long hurdles
Middle and Long Distance
800m, 1500m, 3000m, cross country preparation
Jumps
Long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vault when available
Throws
Shot put, discus, and javelin when available
Relays
4x100m, 4x400m, and medley relays
Training availability may vary by season, coach availability, facility access, and athlete experience level.
What age groups can join?
We welcome athletes ages 5 and up, including:

Competitive club athletes
Post-collegiate and masters training may be available on a limited basis with coach approval.
