1. What is Spartan Track Club Hawaii?
Spartan Track Club Hawaii is a youth-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit track & field organization dedicated to developing athletes of all ages and abilities. We are a USATF-sanctioned club offering professional coaching, mentorship, and competition opportunities for sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers, and distance runners. 

2. When was the club founded?
Founded in 2019, Spartan Track Club Hawaii has grown into one of the largest and most competitive programs in the state, with athletes representing Hawaiʻi at local, regional, and national levels.

3. How many athletes are part of the club?
We currently have 200+ active athletes, ranging in age from 5 to 50 years old, across Oʻahu and neighboring islands.

4. What is your training philosophy?
Our philosophy centers on athlete development and long-term progression—emphasizing proper mechanics, injury prevention, and confidence building. Our mission is simple: #BecomeYourBestSelf. Many of our alumni have become state champions, national medalists, and collegiate competitors.

5. How long does the club train each year?
We train nine months per year (October–July), beginning with Fall Training and concluding with the USATF Junior Olympics.

6. What events do you offer training for?

  • Sprints & Hurdles: 100m, 200m, 400m, short/long hurdles

  • Middle & Long Distance: 800m, 1500m, 3000m, cross country

  • Jumps: long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault

  • Throws: shot put, discus, javelin

  • Relays: 4×100m, 4×400m, medley relays

7. What are the costs to join?
Fall Training (October–December): $50 total — covers the entire fall season (weekly Sundays + up to 3 meets).
Regular Season (January–July): 2026 fees TBD (includes weekday practices and Saturday meets).
All proceeds support athlete development, facility access, equipment, and meet operations—keeping youth track & field affordable in Hawaiʻi.

8. What age groups can join?
We welcome athletes ages 5 and up—from first-time youth participants to elite high school athletes, post-collegiate competitors, and masters athletes.

9. How often does the club train?
Fall & Regular Season: Once per week (Sundays)
Summer Season: Five days a week, with Saturday meets

10. What meets do you host or compete in?
Spartan Track Club Hawaii hosts and participates in multiple events each year, including:

  • Fall/Winter Meets: October, November, December

  • Spring/Summer Meets: February, March, April

  • USATF-sanctioned competitions and National Championships
    We are currently the only organization approved to host events at McKinley High School during campus construction—a reflection of our strong community partnerships and trusted reputation.

11. Do I need prior experience to join?
No experience required. Our certified coaching staff works with all ability levels—from beginners to national qualifiers—so each athlete receives training suited to their goals and experience.
